This is the same night sky turned inside out. The other side carries the name in deep antique gold: the Virgo glyph, a slim divider rule with star finials, VIRGO in letterspaced gold capitals, and the epithet THE QUIET HARVEST in small caps beneath it. Virgo is the largest constellation in the zodiac and the second largest in the whole sky, so its star figure sprawls: it spreads out like a tree, branching twice and never closing into a loop. Its brightest star is Spica, and the name means “ear of grain” — for thousands of years people read these stars as a harvest figure holding wheat.
