WHAT THE ART MEANS

The front is one tall piece of art. In the middle is mirrored twin figures with teal wigs, standing together beneath a sun and crescent moon. A thin gold arch curves over the top, and inside the arch are the real stars of the Gemini constellation, laid out the way they actually sit in the sky. The Gemini symbol sits in a gold cartouche. GEMINI runs along the bottom in worn gold letters. The sun and the moon together are the whole point of Gemini: two things that are opposite and still belong to each other. A cartouche is the oval, rope-edged frame Egyptians carved around a name that mattered, so putting the zodiac symbol inside one treats your sign like a name worth protecting.

The whole Ancient Egypt collection is drawn in antique gold, sandstone, and teal with deep lapis blue, printed in a flat, carved-relief style like painted stone. It is meant to look like something dug up rather than something printed — old, warm, and a little worn. We are not claiming ancient Egyptians drew the zodiac this way. We took their art style and used it to tell the sky’s story.
