WHAT THE ART MEANS

The front is one tall piece of art. In the middle is a gold balance scale with two hanging pans, perfectly even, and a bright star above each pan. A thin gold arch curves over the top, and inside the arch are the real stars of the Libra constellation, laid out the way they actually sit in the sky. The Libra symbol sits in a gold cartouche. LIBRA runs along the bottom in worn gold letters. Both pans hang perfectly level, which is the whole message of the sign. Egyptians also weighed the heart on a scale, so the shape fits the setting. A cartouche is the oval, rope-edged frame Egyptians carved around a name that mattered, so putting the zodiac symbol inside one treats your sign like a name worth protecting.

The whole Ancient Egypt collection is drawn in antique gold, sandstone, and teal with deep lapis blue, printed in a flat, carved-relief style like painted stone.
