WHAT THE ART MEANS

Same wraparound design as the black mug, redrawn for white ceramic. The background is pure white so it disappears into the cup, and deep lapis blue does the work the black used to do — the stars and outlines are blue instead of glowing gold on dark. One side has the Leo symbol in a gold cartouche with LEO beneath it and the real Leo constellation above. The other side is a lion in profile with a gold sun disk above its head and a mane carved in neat rows. Columns of sun disks, lotus flowers, and ankhs frame the handle. The sun disk is included because the Sun rules Leo — the lion is not just strong, it is the source of the light. A cartouche is the oval, rope-edged frame Egyptians carved around a name that mattered, so putting the zodiac symbol inside one treats your sign like a name worth protecting.

The whole Ancient Egypt collection is drawn in antique gold, sandstone, and teal with deep lapis blue, printed in a flat, carved-relief style like painted stone. It is meant to look like something dug up rather than something printed — old, warm, and a little worn. We are not claiming ancient Egyptians drew the zodiac this way. We took their art style and used it to tell the sky’s story.
