WHAT THE ART MEANS

The design is a square emblem that fills the whole side of the bag, so it reads from across a room. At the center is a water bearer with a teal wig pouring from a gold jar, and the stream breaking apart into stars. The Aquarius symbol is in a gold cartouche in the upper left, and the real Aquarius constellation is in the upper right with bold stars. AQUARIUS spans the bottom in worn gold capitals. The water turns into stars as it falls. Aquarius is a water bearer but not a water sign — what it pours out is ideas. A cartouche is the oval, rope-edged frame Egyptians carved around a name that mattered, so putting the zodiac symbol inside one treats your sign like a name worth protecting.

The whole Ancient Egypt collection is drawn in antique gold, sandstone, and teal with deep lapis blue, printed in a flat, carved-relief style like painted stone. It is meant to look like something dug up rather than something printed — old, warm, and a little worn. We are not claiming ancient Egyptians drew the zodiac this way. We took their art style and used it to tell the sky’s story.
